As a researcher (or what I like to call it: a curious questioner!), I believe we build upon each other's work to drive innovation, and I'm proud to be part of this collaborative environment. My background in machine learning applications and reliability-based approaches gives me a unique perspective when reviewing papers in these emerging areas. Beyond just evaluating research quality, I see review work as an opportunity to help shape ideas that will ultimately solve real-world geotechnical challenges.
I was invited to chair the AI/ML application paper review session at the Geotechnical Frontiers 2025 conference. This was a great opportunity to contribute to one of the biggest conferences in the profession, further solidifying my commitment to advancing the field.
